NOTE: CRN 70820 is a partially online (hybrid) course with in-person meetings. Students attending in person meetings are required to go through a campus health screening process, wear appropriate face coverings (PPE), and follow social distancing rules. Students who do not follow these requirements will not be allowed to attend in-person meetings.
Students will be required to complete camera assignments that will require moving images. In-class shooting exercises will be completed during in-person meetings. In addition, student-provided equipment will be necessary for camera assignments outside of in-person class meetings. This student-provided equipment can be as simple as a smartphone camera or DSLR. Digital editing software of any kind is also required. Instructor will provide free resources where possible.
This course has been designed with maximum flexibility in mind. Students who cannot attend the live meetings either due to sickness, the need to quarantine, or for other reasons deemed reasonable by the instructor, will be able to complete the course online (prerecorded video lectures, zoom recordings, and written lectures are all available). Course access begins the weekend prior to the beginning of the semester. You can access the course online by navigating to my.vcccd.edu and clicking on "My Courses" or going directly to vcccd.instructure.com. Textbook information is available at oxnardcollegebookstore.com. Regular active participation in the course is required.
