IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT ADDING CLASSES:
FALL/SPRING SEMESTERS: During the 2nd week of the semester, even though the seat count indicates that there are seats available in a class, students may only add full term classes with an Add Authorization Number that they will receive from the instructor. Add Authorization Numbers will be provided to waitlisted students first, and to additional students only if the instructor is able to admit additional students after all students on the waitlist have been added. Short-term classes that have already begun and appear as open in the STATUS column require an Add Authorization Number to add.

SUMMER SESSIONS and SHORT-TERM CLASSES: During Summer sessions and for short-term classes, Add Authorization Numbers are required as of the first class meeting even if it appears that there are open seats in the class. Add Authorization Numbers will be provided to waitlisted students first, and to additional students only if the instructor is able to admit additional students after all students on the waitlist have been added. Only the instructor can provide Add Authorization Numbers, and all numbers must be used before the end of the late enrollment period.

Open to Enrollment: Each course offered by the Ventura County Community College District and its colleges is open to enrollment and participation by any person who has been admitted to the college and who meets the prerequisites to the class or program, unless specifically exempted by statute.

Additional Notes History R102 56328 Online: Dr. Lieser. On the first day of class (as indicated in the OC schedule), you will be required to do two things: Orient yourself to the course (click on "MyCourses" in your my.vcccd.edu account, click on the class name, and follow the posted instructions) and also verify that you have purchased the required textbooks - U.S. A Narrative History Volume I: to 1877 (Second Edition) and Major Problems in American History Volume I: to 1877 (Third Edition). You must do this by uploading a copy of your receipts or a "selfie" of you with your books. If you do not log into the class or fail to reply to complete the assignment confirming your textbook purchase by 11:59pm on the first day, you will be dropped from the course. History is a fun and enriching subject, but this online class is very demanding and requires a serious student. You will need to commit to reading and homework assignments that average at least six hours a week, have good study habits and computer skills, have daily access to an updated computer with broadband Internet, and check you emails regularly (otherwise this course is not for you).
